Douglas Kirkland would remember "When I went to shoot Jack Nicholson, a sleepy Angelica Houston answered the door. As we started our session, Jack gleefully picked up his Oscar for One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and said, ‘this is my first!’ A couple days later, he was off to London to start filming The Shining."
